Race in Erondegem

Around 80 riders on start for 16 laps of 5km on a nice round with technical turns in up and down, not the usual flat flandern circuit, I really enjoyed this race.

There was no chance for a longer breakaway, as belgish and foreign interests interfered, and everyone waited for the sprint. The local rider Sylvia Debboudt took profit of the fact that every rider was waiting for another to make the first move and attacked in the last 2km.

She won the race in front of her sister Lensy, who won the sprint of the bunch. Sisteract, congratulations!!

I finished 18th, not quite as good as I intended to do, but anyway it was training for the serious stuff coming along next weeks: Route de France and Trophée d’Or.

Cheers!
