Nice weekend, bad race!

Double bad luck before the start of the cross in Milano: first a crash during training on Saturday, hurting my left knee and my back, then a second big error the morning before the race, we had the wrong start time! I had drawn the wrong conclusions from a previous mail from the organisator concerning the start times... So I thought that the start was at 12.30 pm, but it had been changed to 11 am! So we arrived in a rush, just in time to make the inscription, prepare the bikes, dress and make half a lap of the course and then start...

At home, I wouldn’t have started under these conditions, but I wanted to respect the commitment I had made in saying I would start. I did my best to finish the race (far behind my possibilities), but suffered on the fast and bumpy percourse around the Idroscalo in Milan.

So this was it for this cyclo cross season, I’ll have to give my back serious rest before preparing the summer season
