Race in Faè di Oderzo I had hoped for a fast sunny race, but we got a rainy mud-party. Marc had found a nice parking-lot in front of a small farm. Italian people are so friendly if you try to speak italian, so we made a nice picture with a part of the family.

This time I had a bad start and as I didn't want to crash in the first bump in the mud as I did in Besançon, I entered the mud in maybe 20th position, but after the first lap I was already around 10th. I had no special mud tubes like other riders, but felt at ease on most parts of the circuit, except for the bumpy muddy field, where we had better to run ( ... oh I hate it !). After that you stepped into a deep mud-tube and each time hoped your shoe would stay stuck in the mud......

Slowly, but surely I improved to 8th position and without my crash in the last lap, I would have finished at least 7th. All in all I'm satisfied of my result (beating Veronica Alessia the current leader of the "Giro d'Italia di Ciclocross" and showing people that you can be competitive and improve even as a "senior-rider"!

Hereby I have to thank Alberto Falconi for the marvelous ALAN-BIKES I can ride on, so if you are interested by a nice and totally italian-made bike don't hesit, contact www.alanbike.net and be sure you'll have a great bike. Even if you don't win immediately, at least you'll be goodlink, or rather your bike....(lol)

The worst part of my day was the return home ( it was my poor husband Marc who drove, while I could sleep); we arrived at 2:30 in the morning and had both to be at work at 8 o' clock. ( Who loves doesn't count...)

Now I'm looking forward to my next start in Wetzikon (SWI) on Sunday and especially my favourite World-Cup in Kalmthout (BEL). Hope to give you good news soon! Cheers Suzie
