After the 8th place in Troisdorf on Saturday, I did a 8th place in Neuf-château in a race for the Challenge Ardenne-Gaume on Sunday.

On a local lap (1h30 + 3 laps), it didn’t last very long until the first attack went: a group of 4 riders detached itself from the bunch, never to be seen again. I followed in a group of 4 just behind the four leaders, but the men don’t like having a woman with them, it somehow makes them feel less manly...so they tried to get rid of me and eventually left me hanging in «chasse-patate» between them and the bunch. I was joined by 4 other riders that got away from the bunch and when we were about to be lapped by the front group, I tried to attack and get away by myself, but it only lasted a lap until they caught me back. «Echappée terminée» as they say...

I finished 8th overall, a good training that was rewarded with some beer (that I won)...
