Fidea Cycling Cup Leuven

Very hard course, even in dry conditions the downhill would have been difficult and the mud did its own to make the course slippery and hard.

After a good start, I had some trouble fighting for a better position in the steep uphill and the technical part of the circuit. I lost a lot of  places and also a lot of  confidence. In the second lap I felt better and caught back two riders, but a crash in the third lap caused technical damage on my bike and I lost even more time. As overflyer Marianne Vos was too fast, I was stopped before entering the last lap  (UCI-rule of 80%).

The technical difficulty of this race was nevertheless a very good preparation for the national championships, where i’ll have to race on a very technical course.
