| Cyclo-Cross race in Middelkerke (BEL) February 11th |

The conditions for the cross in Middelkerke seemed perfect; I enjoyed the fast lap, which was frozen and included some technical elements. But unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to appreciate any of it; in the first lap, while getting off the bike, I jumped off with too much power and strained my leg when it hit the knoll.

This meant not only the end of my race in Middelkerke, but also that I can't race in Oostmalle.
I'm now taking a break from racing and will start preparation for the road season after my pause.
Trixy on her side did her last cyclo cross race in Diegem in December, having been ill during January. She's back in France now and has trouble training in the ice-cold weather (under 0 degree celcius since 2 weeks which quite a lot of wind), catching one cold after another. She has a lot to do with her new appartement aswell as university and will probably be starting her road season by the end of march, hoping that she might get the chance do some races in Belgium too. She tries her best to improve, even if it isn't always easy making choices and being patient with herself.
