After the slow start of the «huge» bunch, odds-on favourite Christine Majerus (ESGL Gestion) accelerated sharply in the climb at the end of the first lap and got a few seconds advance on a group of 6 riders including Natalie Lamborelle, Anne-Marie Schmitt and myself. However, there was no collaboration to catch her back.

After the attack of Majerus, Lamborelle leading Ludovicy, Suzie, Schauss and Huberty in the steep uphill.

In the second climb, Lamborelle and Schmitt tried a breakaway and I was alone in pursuit with the two newcomers Fabienne Schauss and Sandra Huberty. I tried to keep the rhythm high, and after half a lap, we caught back Schmitt and Lamborelle.

At this moment, the race slowed down drastically, Natalie tried a last attack in the uphill but I caught her back, so we stayed together until the finish line. I made the mistake to start the sprint too early, but I prefered to take no risk and finished third behind Majerus and Lamborelle.
