A malfunctioning gear shifter, which wouldn’t work properly with my carbon wheel, caused a lot of stress before the start and even if Marc tried to fix it, he finally had no choice but to change wheels and give me his spare backwheel for the race.

The race started calmly, in the second of eleven laps, I got into a break along with 5 other riders, but we were caught back after only half a lap.

   In the following laps there were several attacks, but none of them really got away since the bunch wouldn’t allow them to.

   After seeing that, I didn’t attempt another attack and simply followed, went with the flow. I tried to keep a good position to avoid being blocked in the final sprint of the bunch.

In the sprint for the 3rd place, I managed to keep my position as long as possible and finished 6th of the bunch and 8th overall.

My next major races are the "Routes de France", the World-Cup "Grand Prix Ouest France" and the "Trofée d'Or féminin" in August.
